I know how to find the gradient for any given point in any given equation but how would I go about finding the coorrdinates of the points on the graph: y=x^3 where the gradient is 12?How do you find the gradient of a Tangent?
dy / dx = 3x^2
3x^2 = 12
x^2 = 4
x = +/-2
Plug in the x-coordinate into the function and find your y-coordinate.
