How to find gradient of a line graph in Microsoft Excel?

In a line graph, assuming the line is straight, is there anyway to know the gradient of the line by using Microsoft Excel 2003? Thank you.How to find gradient of a line graph in Microsoft Excel?
By gradient I assume you mean slope. Yes, double click on the line in the graph, and it will take you to the properties of the line. Insert a trendline - use linear regression. There you can select to have it show the equation of the line on the graph. The slope is the number next to the letter ';X';.

For example if it shows Y=2.9x+3 the slope (gradient) will be 2.9
