What is the difference between gradient and derivative please explain in simple words?

gradient is how steep the line is

the derivative (AKA gradient function) is simply a formula to tell us the gradient of a specific function at a specific point.

so can you get your gradient from your derivative.

hope that it's understandableWhat is the difference between gradient and derivative please explain in simple words?
The gradient is the angle of a slope from f (x). You get it by using the formula:

gradient = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

This is the average gradient of a line

A dericative is f'(x) of function f(x) (derive f(x)) gives you the instantanious rate of change :)
